Liverpool slipped to another defeat in the EFL Trophy when they were beaten 2-0 at Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday evening. A controversial Emre Tezgel penalty and a Dion Rankine effort before the interval earned the League Two side victory, despite Rob Page's side dominating possession and creating a number of chances.

The result means the young Reds remain bottom of their group ahead of the final match at Chesterfield in four weeks.
