A man says he has been sacked for wearing a Liverpool FC shirt to work. Isaac Ullah, 21, is originally from Toxteth but now lives in London.

Isaac had been working for the A1 Transport Recruitment agency as a bus driver. He took a shift on Saturday October 4 driving a rail replacement service and wore a Liverpool away shirt. He says he has worn this top on many other occasions with no issue. However, he went viral after the game.

Several Chelsea fans surrounded his bus and stopped him moving as he drove past Stamford Bridge stadium following the team’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool that evening. They began mocking him and banging on the windows. Several clips of the incident went viral that night across social media.

On Monday morning (October 6), Isaac was sacked by A1 and claims this was due to him going against the uniform policy. He believes this reasoning is unfair. A1 says the incident is being dealt with internally.
