Alexander Isak’s Liverpool transfer was one of the most reported stories of the summer transfer window.

There were several moments throughout the window when it felt like the striker wasn’t going to become Arne Slot’s player.

However, in the end, a £125million bid was enough to seal a move and get one of the Premier League’s best strikers to make the move to Anfield.

Although it’s still early in the season, it feels like a lot more should be coming from Isak with the Sweden international having less of an impact on the team than Hugo Ekitike at the moment.

And, while Isak has been away on international duty with Sweden, he’s made an admission that Liverpool fans may not like.

One of the main questions about Isak’s transfer was whether he’d even be fit enough to play regularly after refusing to play for Newcastle in pre-season.

And, rather unsurprisingly, the answer to that was no.

Not only has this hindered him from getting used to his teammates and the way they play, but it has also put Liverpool at a disadvantage as they don’t have their full first-team squad available to choose from....
