Newcastle United should break their wage structure in order to tie Sandro Tonali to a longer deal amid rumours of Juventus interest in the midfielder.

The Italian international has shone since for United since returning from his 10-month ban served for betting offences, and his form has not gone unnoticed by some of Europe's top clubs.

Tonali's current deal runs until June 2028 but United have been urged to improve his terms and reward him for his form.

In stark contrast to Alexander Isak, who made his feelings clear after his demands for a new deal were not met, co-host of The Monday Show via The Everything is Black and White Podcast, Mark Carruthers, believes Tonali should be the first player to break United's current wage structure.
