A 1-1 draw at Derby County was an unwanted way for Saints to close out the second window of Championship fixtures, but it left them just four points adrift of the play-off spots.

Will Still's side have earned 11 points from a possible 27, claiming an average of 1.22 points per game - a rate short of the usual target to gain promotion to the Premier League.

They will need a serious upturn in their fortunes upon their return from this current international break if they are to make a better attempt at their promotion target.
