Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus is once again being linked with a possible return to Palmeiras. Club president Leila Pereira sent a public message to the player during an interview carried by Somos Fanaticos in Brazil.
Speaking to journalist Paloma Tocci, Leila openly admitted her admiration for the Arsenal striker and didn’t hide her wish to bring him back to the club.
When asked to choose between Gabriel Jesus and Cruzeiro striker Gabriel Barbosa, the president was clear and emphatic.
“Of course Gabriel Jesus. And I’ll say more. Soon you’re coming back home, Gabriel! One day you’ll return,” said Leila Pereira. She made it clear that, even though no talks are underway, Gabriel remains on Palmeiras’ radar for the future.
The Brazilian forward, currently recovering from injury, reportedly considered leaving Arsenal during the last transfer window. He ended up staying at the Emirates Stadium, where he is under contract until 2027. His focus now is on regaining full fitness and securing his place in the Gunners’ line-up.
