Martin Zubimendi’s excellent volley against Nottingham Forest has been selected by the Premier League as their Goal of the Month for September.

Having picked up our club-wide award earlier in the week, Martin has added another trophy to his collection after being deemed to have netted the best strike in the division last month.

Martin’s magic moment came in the 32nd minute of the game against Forest at Emirates Stadium. Noni Madueke floated a corner into the box which was headed clear by Chris Wood to the edge of the D, but Martin was waiting with intent.

With a flash of his right boot, he volleyed it back towards goal and watched it swerve out of the reach of Matz Sels to crash into the net and get his Gunners goal tally up and running in style.
