Hindolo Mustapha has been all the way through the Crystal Palace system, but at 19-years-of-age he’s yet to make his senior debut.
During the summer it was decided the attacking midfielder could be aided by a loan. A temporary move to help him get minutes he wouldn’t at Crystal Palace,. Therefore, he would develop his game further.
FC Nuremberg was decided as the destination, and in late August Mustapha signed a new Crystal Palace contract and headed off for Germany.
Bild now report things haven’t gone well. Indeed, the loan has been an absolute disaster so far.
According to the German newspaper, FC Nuremberg had big hopes for the loan and it’s not working out anything like they expected. The only minutes Mustapha has got so far are with FC Nuremberg II.
That’s the club B team and they play in the regional leagues. He’s had two appearances, one 40 minutes and the other 60, and hasn’t impressed.
Bild report the Crystal Palace youngster is having ‘major adjustment and motivation issues’. It’s thought he’s unlikely to be playing for the first team, under Miroslav Klose, quickly.
