Jack Grealish professed his love for the club and dedicated his opening goal in royal blue to the fans after scoring the 93rd-minute winner in the 2-1 comeback win over Crystal Palace at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Grealish has made a strong start to life on Merseyside and won the player of the month award in August after registering four assists in his first two starts. He has also been the Blues’ regular source of creativity down the left flank.
The 30-year-old finally opened his goalscoring account for the Toffees with an opportunistic finish from close range after Dean Henderson’s save off Beto was spilled towards him by Victor Munoz.
What followed next was an eruption of joy, emotions, ecstasy and celebration in the stands as Grealish ran towards the side where his parents were seated before being embraced by his teammates as the Blues secured their first win in over a month.
