Arsenal are plotting an audacious swoop to sign Barcelona’s attacking midfielder Dani Olmo next summer, according to Fichajes.

Arsenal strengthened key areas of their squad last summer, with Viktor Gyökeres, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze arriving to enhance Mikel Arteta’s attacking options.

The North London side currently sit top of the Premier League with 70 points from 31 matches, holding a nine-point lead over Manchester City, who still have a game in hand.

While much of the spotlight has been on their defensive solidity, Arteta’s attacking unit has also been outstanding, having scored 61 goals after 30 league matches, the highest tally in the division.

With ambitions of sustaining their dominance beyond this season, plans are already underway for further reinforcements, with Dani Olmo now emerging as a target.

Olmo has been a consistently influential performer for Barcelona since joining from RB Leipzig in 2023, and his importance under Hansi Flick has grown steadily, with the Spain international registering 16 goal contributions in 39 appearances across all competitions this season.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal are plotting an audacious swoop for the 27-year-old’s transfer to the Emirates Stadium next summer.
