Manchester United have received a timely boost ahead of the decisive final stretch of their Premier League campaign.

United have officially confirmed that Lisandro Martinez has taken part in a team training session in Dublin earlier today.

The Red Devils have travelled to the Republic of Ireland this week for an intensive training camp.

Martinez was part of the 25-man travelling squad revealed yesterday.

The 27-year-old sustained a calf issue ahead of the trip to Everton in February.

Early reports suggested the defender would recover quickly, but he has now missed the last five games.

He was also absent from the Argentina squad during the March international break.

United head coach Michael Carrick will be delighted that Martinez is now fully fit and raring to go.

The Red Devils will return to Premier League action on April 13 when they host arch-rivals Leeds United.

Harry Maguire will miss the encounter after receiving a straight red card in the recent defeat to AFC Bournemouth.

Martinez could be thrown straight back into the starting XI, potentially forming a partnership with rising talent Ayden Heaven.
