Marc Albrighton has questioned whether wantaway Leicester City players are cut out for keeping the club in the Championship.

The title-winning winger said that a host of issues around the club have led to their sharp decline, with City currently on course to fall into the third tier for just the second time in their history.

But one topic brought up by Albrighton was the players’ motivation. He says there’s a number of players in the squad who have long wanted to move on but haven’t found an escape, and so remain at the King Power Stadium.

With the club’s future on the line, Albrighton questioned if they would be up to the task.

Discussing the club’s predicament prior to the 2-2 draw with Preston on Friday, Albrighton told BBC Radio 5 Live: “It’s so sad to see.
