Jordan James may yet miss another Leicester City match after injury kept him from featuring in the 2-2 draw with Preston.

City’s top scorer James picked up a problem on Wales duty but manager Gary Rowett said it was not as bad as first feared, and that the midfielder could even play a part in the Good Friday fixture.

However, James did not make the bench at the King Power Stadium, and Monday’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday may come too soon as well. The 21-year-old tried to train on Thursday, but was unable to show that he’s ready.

Aaron Ramsey’s comeback was also delayed. After illness stopped him from making a first appearance of 2026 in the 0-0 draw at Watford before the international break, the attacking midfielder suffered a slight issue in training this week to rule him out of the Preston fixture.
