Edozie was frozen out of the matchday squad at the start of the season, only making his first appearance against Watford in February.

The 23 year old was a regular in training after the summer transfer window shut, and returned to action after a chat with head coach Tonda Eckert.

Southampton's recent 1-0 win over Norwich saw Edozie start his first game for the club since April 2024 after a loan spell at Anderlecht last season.

With nine games under his belt since returning, Edzoie hopes he can continue to make an impact as Saints aim to earn promotion.

"The start of the season was a tough period for me," he said, speaking to the Daily Echo.
