Unbeaten in their last 14 games at club level, some of Southampton's key players suffered heartbreaking defeats during this international break.

It was a tough international break for Southampton's Republic of Ireland duo.

Ryan Manning and Finn Azaz had moments to forget in their World Cup qualification play-off semi-final defeat against Czech Republic.

Manning gave away a penalty while 2-0 up to invite the Czechs back into the game, and Azaz failed to convert his penalty in the shootout.

A loser's contest against North Macedonia followed on Tuesday evening, ending 0-0, with Azaz playing 60 minutes and Manning staying on the bench.
