Liverpool saw off Wolves in FA Cup action on Friday evening and Rob Edwards has hailed the Reds’ performance.

The Reds advanced thanks to goals from Andy Robertson, Mo Salah and Curtis Jones, with a late consolation from Hwang Hee-Chan not helping Wolves’ cause.

After beating Liverpool just this week in Premier League action, Wolves might have expected a repeat but according to their manager Rob Edwards, Liverpool were just simply better.

While Wolves celebrated the Premier League win over the Reds wildly, there was to be no repeat tonight as Arne Slot’s men did the business.

And speaking after the game, Edwards admitted there was little his side could do.

“I just thought they were really good. They are the champions. Sometimes you have got to say credit where credit is due and they were better than us,” Edwards admitted to BBC Sport.
