Ajax rising star Mika Godts has been advised to avoid a move to Liverpool, and Arsenal could be included in that too.

Journalist Valentijn Driessen provides the warning today, via Voetbal Primeur. He’s been speaking on De Telegraaf’s Kick-off podcast about the 20-year-old.

Godts has established himself as a key player for the Dutch giants this season, and one of the Eredivisie’s most productive attackers to booth.

Indeed, he’s been drawing comparisons to fellow countryman Eden Hazard. The youngster is yet to make his debut for Belgium but has been a consistent presence in their youth setups.

Why interest is growing in Mika Godts

This season to date he has 13 goals and ten assists in 32 games in all competitions so far. He’s on course to double the 15 goal contributions he managed across the entirety of last season.

That’s led to transfer speculation. Sport Witness covered a report at the end of the January transfer window regarding an approach from Arsenal.
