Former Fulham star Luis Boa Morte

He graced the Premier League with Arsenal, Fulham, West Ham and Southampton but Portuguese winger Luis Boa Morte has admitted the club he really wanted to play for was Newcastle United.

The 28-times capped Portugal international made the switch from Sporting to Arsenal in 1997, and while didn't make the impact he would have liked at Highbury, went on to have an impressive career in the English top flight.

Boa Morte made 296 appearances for Fulham, West Ham and Southampton after leaving Arsenal, but never got the chance to play for the Magpies.

He did come close, with United keen on a move for the winger while he was at Fulham, but he opted to stay with the Cottagers in 2005
