Dele Alli made an emotional comeback to Tottenham Hotspur as a special guest for the North London Derby with rivals Arsenal.

Tottenham fans love Dele Alli for his contributions to the club. The English midfielder was a key figure in Mauricio Pochettino’s side from 2015 to 2019. The 29-year-old was a joy to watch in his prime, linking up with the likes of Son Heung-min, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane and making Spurs such a potent team to play against.

The 37-cap England international went on to amass 269 appearances during an impressive seven-year stint at Tottenham, for whom he played in the Champions League final in 2019. However, Alli’s career has been derailed in recent years and continues to be a free agent since leaving Italian side Como last year. Yet, the creative midfielder holds a special place in the hearts of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.

Alli was a guest of honour for Tottenham ahead of Sunday’s North London derby against Arsenal. As he returned to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, his chant was sung loudly at half-time. And while interviewed on the pitch, Alli told our fans that they will forever be his family.
