Texas Rangers fans will be in for a treat during their May 29 game against the Kansas City Royals.

The Rangers announced on Tuesday that legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan's famed "bloody lip" jersey will be featured as a fan giveaway during the spring matchup.

Ryan, who is one of the greatest pitchers in MLB history, was hit in the face by a line drive off the bat of the legendary Bo Jackson during a game against the Royals on September 8, 1990. Despite having his lip busted open, he remarkably remained in the game and threw seven innings of a 2-1 win.

The Rangers announced that there will be 38 items given away as part of promotions during the 2026 season.

Texas is coming off an 81-81 finish to the 2025 campaign, missing the playoffs for the second straight year since winning the 2023 World Series.
