Michael Owen believes Arsenal have already wrapped up the league.

Mikel Arteta’s side are sitting six points clear at the top of the Premier League.

With 14 matches left, the Gunners are not looking to repeat the same mistakes they did in previous years.

They narrowly missed out on the title in the last three years, finishing in second place, with Manchester City and Liverpool being able to pip them in the final stages.

Arsenal gave up an eight point lead in the 2022/23 season to Pep Guardiola’s side, who also went on to win the treble (Champions League and Carabao Cup).

On Wednesday morning, Michael Owen, ex-Manchester United and Liverpool player, joined talkSPORT to speak about how easy it is for Arsenal to win the league.

He said: “I don’t think there’s anybody good enough to compete with them this season, even though I don't think the points total is going to be that good.”

“I think the only teams that could have beaten them at the start of the season were Liverpool and Manchester City, who are obviously faltering.”
