Every day, this month, without exception, I have religiously sat down and scribed an article relating to ongoing Luton Town transfer speculation.

Until yesterday, when I failed miserably!

After a lull in speculation over the weekend, as reported in articles published on Saturday and Sunday – rumour-control-24th-january – and – rumour-control-25th-january

I had this strong belief that Monday could well be a very busy day thereby bucking the recent trend.

Sadly, I awoke to a blank canvas, no transfer tittle-tattle relating to Luton Town Football Club whatsoever.

In an attempt to keep the daily series going, I held back on compiling an article with the forlorn belief that, later in the day, there would be an abundance of speculation to form a decent article thereby prompting some kind of debate.

But I waited and I waited, scanning the world wide web, but to no avail, there was nothing!

Around 1900 hours I opted to abandon my quest and settle down for the evening, still wondering why, with the closure of the transfer window a mere six days away, it was so quiet.

This morning, I awoke keen to see if, overnight, the situation had changed and...
