Lotte Wubben-Moy might have been disappointed that Arsenal came out of their Women’s Super League clash with Chelsea with only a single point.

But she was very happy that Alessia Russo got the goal her performance deserved in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

“Lessi, unbelievable,” the centre-half said to the club’s official website.

“She was everywhere, all over the pitch, rolling inside, outside. I think players know that Lessi’s going to do that, but they still can’t get the ball off of her.

“We train against her every week, but to see her doing it on the pitch against Chelsea, absolutely nullifying their defence, it was her just [deserts] to get that goal.”

Wubben-Moy returned to the starting line-up in place of Laia Codina, partnering Steph Catley in defence in the continuing absence of the injured Leah Williamson.
