Alan Shearer has been left in awe of Florian Wirtz after the performance he put in for Liverpool against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The Reds managed to beat Xabi Alonso’s men in a game where it felt like they were fairly dominant.

Liverpool were handed several goal-scoring opportunities, and to be honest, it felt like Thibaut Courtois was coming back to haunt Liverpool again, as every shot they had, the Belgian managed to save.

That is, until Alexis Mac Allister came along and managed to squeeze a header past the former Chelsea man and win the Anfield outfit the game.

However, Mac Allister’s outing wasn’t the only performance that caught the eye, as Shearer also singled Wirtz out for how well he played.

Going into Liverpool’s game against Real on Tuesday, nobody knew how it was going to go.
