Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was reportedly denied entry to the away end at the Etihad Stadium for the clash between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund. Carragher was at Anfield on Tuesday night to watch his former club beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League.

And 24 hours later, Carragher was in Manchester to cover City's clash with Dortmund in the fourth league phase match of the Champions League for CBS Sports. The 47-year-old was spotted alongside Dortmund fans walking towards the Etihad ahead of kick-off on Wednesday night.

This is not the first time that Carragher has socialised with fans of the Bundesliga club during a Champions League tie. The former Liverpool defender was at Signal Iduna Park's famous 'Yellow Wall' for Dortmund's semi-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain back in 2024, where he celebrated alongside supporters of the German club.

The Daily Mail have reported, though, that Carragher attempted to join Dortmund fans in the away end at the Etihad on Wednesday evening. However, it is claimed Carragher was denied entry to the stadium by both UEFA and City, with several reasons cited.
