There will be fireworks tomorrow night, although the bonfire displays have been going on for Preston since Saturday afternoon after an emphatic 2-0 win over Southampton on the south coast.

Dobbin’s goal came from a goal mouth scramble, after Alfie Devine drilled a pass into the feet of the former Norwich man, but he managed to beat Alex McCarthy and tap it home to give the Lilywhites the lead – his fourth of the season.

They never looked back, Daniel Iversen pulled off a tremendous save after tipping Casper Jander’s curled effort onto the crossbar to keep the lead for North End, just another match-winning save to add to his repertoire from this season.

The away performance was capped off with a last minute finish from Frokjaer, after a counter attack down the left hand side allowed the Dane to link up with Stefan Thordarson to seal the three points and take them back to Lancashire.
