Gary O'Neil has withdrawn himself from the process to become the new Wolves head coach after holding talks, Sky Sports News understands.

O'Neil had held talks with his former club about returning to Molineux to replace Vitor Pereira, but the club's managerial search will now continue.

The 42-year-old spent just over 14 months in charge at the club before being sacked in December 2024, with Pereira being chosen as his successor.
