Tottenham Hotspur are still battling their way through a growing injury list, and now Thomas Frank has offered an update on Lucas Bergvall, following the concussion he suffered against Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur had only just received a slight boost on the injury front ahead of their clash against Chelsea, with Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, and Wilson Odobert returning to make the bench.

However, after only seven minutes into that league fixture, Tottenham were dealt another setback, as Lucas Bergvall picked up an injury to his head.

The 19-year-old midfielder was forced off due to concussion protocols and had to miss the rest of the game against Chelsea after returning to the starting XI for the first time in the league since September.

Speaking to the media ahead of Tottenham’s Champions League tie on Tuesday, Thomas Frank confirmed that Lucas Bergvall will be unavailable for the next few matches.

According to the GRTP protocol, reports claimed that Bergvall could miss Tuesday’s clash and Spurs’ next two Premier League games, but Frank’s update states otherwise.

Asked about the Swede, Frank told Football.London: “He is out for the next two games now.”
