A 27-year-old, who left Tottenham Hotspur this summer after eight years at the club, has now hung up his boots to take up a new career.

At the start of the summer transfer window, Spurs confirmed that three senior players had been released by the club.

Alfie Whiteman, Fraiser Forster and Sergio Reguilon left Tottenham as free agents, and none of them have been picked up by any club since leaving N17.

It turns out that one of them has now called time on his career in a bid to explore his other big passion.

Whiteman came through the ranks of the Tottenham youth sides before signing a professional contract.

During his time at Spurs, he had two loan spells with Swedish outfit Degerfors, but he was always far down the pecking order at the North London side.

The 27-year-old did not make a single senior appearance for the Lilywhites, and after being released by the club a few months ago, he has now decided to quit football.

This is according to The Athletic, who reveal that Whiteman’s limited first-team action prompted him to explore other interests, including acting classes, broadcasting, and photography.
