There has been a big development regarding Brazilian starlet Rayan Vitor, who is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur during the upcoming transfer window.

Spurs Web has been closely tracking the speculation linking the 19-year-old with a switch to Tottenham Hotspur since it first emerged that the Lilywhites had sent scouts to Brazil to watch Rayan.

Rayan has a release clause of €40m (£34.3m) in his contract at Vasco Da Gama, and it has been alleged that Thomas Frank’s men have explored activating it.

However, over the last few days, several reports have stated that Vasco are working on tying the Tottenham target down to a new contract.

A new report in NT Vascainos has now claimed that there continues to be interest from Europe in Rayan, with Real Betis being the latest to enter the race.

In fact, the La Liga club made an offer of €25m (£22m) for the wide-forward, but this was swiftly turned down by Vasco.

The proposal failed to convince the Brazilian club, who believe Rayan is worth far more given his performances this season.
