West Ham United have brought forward a statement today concerning Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paquetá which really should close a dreadful chapter in the club’s history and the player’s career after more than two years of doubt and dread hanging over the Brazilian midfielder’s head.

After the misconduct charges made against him were thrown out by the disciplinary panel, Paquetá has simply received a warning as to his future conduct for the ‘breaches of  FA rule F3’ – regarding failing to comply fully with the investigation .

The club statement reads:

“West Ham United acknowledges the statement published by the Football Association today, confirming that Lucas Paquetá has received a warning as to his future conduct, following two proven breaches of FA rule F3, after he was cleared of misconduct charges made against him for alleged breaches of FA rule E5.

West Ham United and Lucas Paquetá are pleased that this matter is now finally closed. The Club will be making no further comment.”
