Under-pressure head coach Will Still says Southampton need to stop feeling sorry for themselves and "shut up and get on with it".

The Saints boss came under fire from his own fans as they allowed a 1-0 lead to slip to defeat at Blackburn on Saturday to drop closer to the Championship relegation zone.

Southampton are on a run of one win in 11 league matches under Still and just four victories in 47 games since they won promotion to the Premier League in May 2024.

"We've got to fight back," Still told BBC Radio Solent. "It's time for the whole club to fight back a bit. This scenario is not new, it was happening last season too.

"As a club we need to stand up, fight back and show what this club is about and not moan about everything and find excuses for why things aren't going right.

"We need to manage games better and stop feeling sorry for ourselves - that's one thing I can't stand. In a rude way, shut up and get on with it.
