A Liverpool legend is coming to a city centre store to offer free football training. Former footballer Robbie Fowler will be at the new Sports Direct’s flagship store on Church Street on Friday, October 31.

The coach will be at the store’s new Adidas football skill zone to offer some half-term entertainment. During the session, the 50-year-old will teach essential skills, before the children are invited to take on an interactive challenge.

This sees participants have 30 seconds to test their precision by kicking a ball at a series of light-up targets for the chance to win a selection of prizes. For those unable to make the session, the activity will remain in the store until the end of the year.

The new three-storey 90,000-square-foot store, located across from the city centre Primark, opened with a three-day festival of sport and culture that included appearances from Liverpool and Everton FC players past and present, the England Women’s Rugby team, and run clubs from adidas and On.
