Luis Díaz had a chat with Liverpool’s Florian Wirtz before leaving the Reds for Bayern Munich last summer.

The Bundesliga Español account on Instagram, along with ESPN Colombia, have shared a snippet of Díaz’s conversation with Wirtz.

Semana have relayed his comments, and they point out there are rumours of the 28-year-old winger having concerns over leaving Liverpool for Bayern Munich. This was mainly down to the different language, league and a country.

Liverpool completed the signing of Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for over £100m on June 20th. The Germany international had spent his career in his own country before joining Arne Slot’s side.

Liverpool teammates spoke about transfer

The 22-year-old trained alongside Díaz in his first few weeks at Liverpool, before the Colombian left. The latter has revealed the Reds summer signing said positive things about Germany and the Bundesliga.

“He told me that the league is very intense and that there are great teams. The stadiums are always full. He told me I was going to enjoy it a lot and that I was going to do very well, so I thanked him,” he said.
