Alejandro Garnacho has had a slow start to life at Chelsea since joining them from Manchester United.

The Argentina international was part of the ‘bomb squad’ at Old Trafford and didn’t train under Ruben Amorim during pre-season. He was determined to join Chelsea and had to wait until the end of August to secure a move.

The winger has played 331 minutes from seven matches for the Blues. At the weekend, he netted his first goal for Chelsea in their league defeat to Sunderland.

Former Argentina international Oscar Ruggeri has questioned the 21-year-old’s attitude. He’s been speaking to ESPN about his compatriot and TNT Sports have relayed his comments.

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni hasn’t picked Garnacho for the national team since November 2024. Ruggeri believes the Chelsea player has potential but needs to change his attitude.
