Everton fell to a 3-0 defeat, the second consecutive loss but the first on home soil this season.

It was a frustrating afternoon, compounded by one-sided officiating and VAR controversy. 

Indeed, captain Tarkowski has echoed the sentiment felt by many fans – that we need to start putting the ball in the net.

Everton haven’t scored for two games on the spin, with clear chances not being taken advantage of.

Meanwhile, Spurs scored two goals from set pieces in the first half on Sunday. Indeed, defender Micky Van de Ven scored both of them.

The Dutchman’s first was also Everton’s first goal conceded from a set piece all season. Much like buses, another arrived shortly after the first.

Spurs keeper Vicario made a few good saves as Everton sought an avenue back into the game. However, as Tarkowski states, the Blues need to find a way to score goals.
