Supporters at Emirates Stadium on Sunday have a huge role to play in helping us get three points against Crystal Palace.

That’s a message Mikel Arteta was keen to re-iterate in his pre-match press conference at the Sobha Realty Training Centre on Friday, that supporters are active participants in the match.

The subject of the atmosphere on matchdays was brought up in the media briefing, with reporters pointing out the pre-match light show last Tuesday, as well as the screens at half-time that encouraged supporters to return to their seats for the start of the second half to cheer us on.

And it was in the second half when Gooners were treated to four goals against Atletico Madrid, continuing our fantastic start to the UEFA Champions League.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s test against the Eagles and how important it is to once again get the place rocking, our head coach said: “[The atmosphere is] one of the most important things, and I love that, because we don't expect supporters to just turn up to the stadium. We want them  to play the game with us, which is very different.
