Mohamed Salah missed a golden opportunity to pass the ball to Florian Wirtz and assist the German's first Liverpool goal during the Reds' big Champions League win against Eintracht Frankfurt. The £116million summer recruit was playing in his home country as Liverpool secured a resounding victory. Manager Arne Slot decided to start with Salah on the bench, bringing him on as a second-half substitute.

Wirtz, who started the game, played a key role in establishing Liverpool's dominant lead with two assists. When Salah entered the fray, he was eager to make his mark and found himself in a prime position for a shot on goal down the right flank. He could have easily passed to Wirtz, who was just eight yards out, but the Egyptian opted to take the shot himself. After goalkeeper Michael Zetterer saved his attempt, Wirtz visibly expressed his frustration at his team-mate's decision.

Salah has been far from his prolific form of last season. Now 33 and recently signed to a new contract, the forward needs to demonstrate that he can still perform at the highest level. He's only netted three times in all competitions and hasn't scored since mid-September.
