David Moyes has already seen enough from Tyler Dibling to be pleased with his start to life at Everton. The teenager was the club’s most expensive signing of the summer after their pursuit led to an initial £35m deal with Southampton for the England youth international.

Dibling is yet to have enjoyed a breakthrough moment at Everton and has started just one match in the Premier League so far. Yet Moyes is happy with what he has seen from his first weeks working with the 19-year-old and has stressed he is willing to show patience while he adapts to life on Merseyside.

The Blues hoped to sign Dibling in pre-season, wanting to pull off a deal at a time that would have allowed the player greater opportunity to bed himself in away from the pressures that come once the season has started.
