Arsenal have apologised to Atletico Madrid after receiving a complaint from the Spanish club following their training session at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners take on Atletico in the third league stage game of the Champions League on Tuesday night (8pm). Mikel Arteta’s side will be looking to make it three wins from three after beating Athletic Club and Olympiacos in their opening two games of the competition.

As preparations for Tuesday’s game take place, Atletico held a training session at Emirates Stadium on Monday. Diego Simeone's men trained in the rain as they put the finishing touches to their plan to take on Arsenal.

However, they were unable to take a hot shower in either dressing room at the stadium due to a plumbing issue. Atletico claim that the issue remained for over an hour with them returning to their hotel for showers.
