"It's about performing on the day when you're called to perform. When you're on a run of games that you are, the biggest thing that can creep in is complacency."
Port Vale are one point above the League One relegation zone and they must wait until Monday, 27 October for their next game when they host Stockport County.
"There's got to be a reponse in training. They're an honest group, and the message is clear in football - the game owes you nothing," Moore, 51, added.
"It's about performing, and getting to the levels that you set yourselves, week in week out.
"It's about the group conducting itself in the right manner in the week, and training and preparing themselves for the arena next week, and that's the response I'm looking for."
