Florian Wirtz has had a slow start to life at Liverpool but he has shown flashes of excellence.

Many expected the Reds’ new signings to come in and hit the ground running due to the quality they possess and the money they cost, but this has not been the case.

Wirtz has, arguably, been the most disappointing of the lot as the German is yet to register a goal or an assist, something that will bring any player a lot of heat, let alone because of his £116m price tag.

However, he has certainly not been as bad as many people have made out, with the 22-year-old producing some moments of magic that have not been capitalised on by his teammates.

Darren Bent also agrees, with the former striker admitting that Wirtz has already done something this season that blew his mind.
