Ruben Amorim has been warned that there is still a ‘bad attitude’ problem at Manchester United.

The Portuguese boss is under pressure at Old Trafford having failed to get his Reds team in consistent form since taking the job a year ago. United have been struggling on the pitch and in the dressing room, but it hasn’t been for the want of trying.

Amorim has attempted to overhaul the club in the transfer market, shipping out ‘bomb squad’ members Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho, while bringing in hungrier stars, like Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

So far this season, United have been stuttering at best, winning just three from their opening seven league games, but he has been given hope of getting a result at Anfield on Sunday.

Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders said that United still possess the quality to trouble any team on their day, including Liverpool, where Amorim takes his side later today.
