Oliver Glasner learning to control his temper has been key to his recent success, according to a man who knows him well.

Timothy Chandler has been speaking about the Crystal Palace boss today to BILD. He played under the Austrian at Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 35-year-old has been with the German club since he was a youngster, playing for them at every youth level up until 2010 when he joined Nuremberg. That move lasted for three years until he returned to Frankfurt in 2014. He’s been there ever since.

It means he’s worked under a whole host of different managers in his time, including Glasner. He took charge at Eintracht in 2021 and won the Europa League during his time at the club.

He left in 2023 and then returned to work at Crystal Palace in February 2024, pushing the Eagles to safety that season. They’ve since gone from strength to strength under him, winning the FA Cup last season and heading into Europe for the first their history under his leadership.
