Peterborough lost their last two matches, but Ferguson insists he is convinced that a good run is "not far off".

He said: "The two boxes are where we are struggling, and that's where we've got to improve, the players know it.

"Perhaps it [playing style] is a confidence thing, but I do think it's in there. If we go to Burton and win 1-0, no one really cares - the entertaining part of it, people are just interested in winning a game of football."

Harry Leonard was signed from Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee and fellow striker Jimmy-Jay Morgan brought in from Chelsea on transfer deadline day and Ferguson believes they are key players going forwards.

Morgan has four goals from seven league and cup appearances so far, but Leonard is still waiting to open his account for Posh.

"They work together very well, you can see a partnership (developing) - they're good friends off the pitch as well. They're both very good players. I know JJ has got the goals and Harry hasn't but it's only a matter of time with Harry," he said.
