Trent Alexander-Arnold is on track to recover from injury in time for a November showdown with his former club Liverpool, according to new reports. The right-back made the switch from Anfield to Real Madrid during the summer after sparking fury by leaving his boyhood club at the end of his contract.

The England international was initially set to join Los Blancos on a free transfer as his deal with the Reds was due to expire. However, the Spanish titans ended up shelling out £10million to secure Alexander-Arnold's early release from his Liverpool contract, enabling him to play for them in the FIFA Club World Cup. Since his move, Alexander-Arnold has only worn the Real Madrid jersey 10 times.

The 27-year-old sustained a hamstring injury in the opening moments of his new team's 2-1 triumph over Marseille in the Champions League in mid-September. There were fears at the Bernabeu that they would be without Alexander-Arnold for their European face-off against Liverpool on November 4.

However, The Times now suggests that his recovery from the hamstring problem has been going well and he could be ready to take on the Reds...
