Ollie Watkins has been ruled out of England's World Cup Qualifier against Latvia through injury.

Watkins has failed to recover from a knock he picked up in the national team's 3-0 victory over Wales on Thursday.

The 29-year-old got on the scoresheet, but was later forced off after colliding with the post when trying to get on the end of a cross.

While Thomas Tuchel played this down at the time, a statement from England has now confirmed Watkins will play no part in their next match, having returned to his club.

A squad of 22 will travel to Riga, with captain Harry Kane available again after he sat out the Wales victory with a knock of his own.
