Sandro Tonali returning to Italy from Newcastle United is big news this week, and they’re not letting it go.

Calciomercato provide the latest today, saying AC Milan are ‘in his heart’. They also say the midfielder ‘hasn’t closed off a return to Serie A’.

They explain that Tonali remains in love with Milan, having loved them since he was 11 years old. The Newcastle star asked for a Rossoneri shirt at that point and dreamed of playing for them.

He did that before his move to Newcastle. He even got to wear the number eight, the same as his idol Gennaro Gattuso. Now he’s been hinting at a return this week during the international break. He insisted the door to Italy was never closed for him.

Calciomercato now report that he took the opportunity to meet with his agent Beppe Riso in Milan this week. That information comes from GOAL. That’s been interpreted as him further opening the transfer door.
