David Moyes has hailed the work of Everton fan group the 1878s. And Blues boss has stressed the importance of keeping up the energy levels at the club's new home.

A planned display ahead of Everton’s game with Tottenham Hotspur on October 26 has now been postponed by the 1878s and instead the group of seven volunteers, who in addition to their day jobs are dedicated to improving the atmosphere on matchdays, are to hold a fundraiser night in conjunction with A View From the Bullens the previous evening at Bierkeller Liverpool (Saturday October 25, 7-11:30pm).

It will help the 1878s purchase flags and banners large enough to suit the scale of a 52,769 capacity venue, which is a third bigger than the Blues’ previous home.
