Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo may have raised some concerns about his happiness after revealing that Nicolas Jackson was his best friend at the club.

Caicedo has been a standout performer for the Blues so far this season and has received several plaudits for his performances. The 23-year-old opened the scoring in spectacular fashion in last weekend’s 2-1 win over current Premier League champions Liverpool.

The goal was his third of the season, following strikes against West Ham and Brentford in earlier games.

It’s no surprise then that he is one of the first names on the team sheet for Enzo Maresca this season. He has played every minute available in both the Premier League and Champions League so far.

Caicedo’s performances in blue come despite him being separated from his closest friend this summer.

When asked who his best friend at Chelsea was, Caicedo told Banco Guayaquil : “It was Jackson, who has left the team.

“I was with him everywhere. I went to his house, he came to mine, we played PlayStation, I always beat him (laughs). I have a very good relationship with him.”
